AI GLE: AI
and the Ground Level Event
The AI tools and mindset are meeting the ground
As leaders in our organizations, we must embrace AI: it not only accelerates internal processes but also enhances customer service and satisfaction. Furthermore, it is a vital investment in the employees. However, it also introduces concerns and substantial risks, demanding careful attention and strategic perspective in the implementation
AI + Agility, a Recipe for a Higher Human Intelligence
Some AI capabilities double every six months and thus, as AI usage becomes intensive, its strengths and limitations become increasingly evident. But in most cases, it takes an inspective eye (professionalism) and self-confidence for applying critical thinking regarding AI’s answers, and AI-based solutions. As the usage of AI spreads to additional regions within the organization, each AI user must have both of these: Possess both professionalism and self-confidence to evaluate AI-generated insights, accepting or rejecting recommendations based on human judgment and common sense.
This is where the Agile culture makes the difference. At its core Agile thinking acknowledges that while leaders set goals and directions, the feasibility of solutions to every-day challenges lies with those who actually do the work. Every employee in their own respective domain must be empowered to act.
What do we offer?
1. Enhancing agile processes with AI:
When reviewing Agile processes, from idea conception to market impact (value stream), organizations can significantly improve various stages. By analyzing workflows, bottlenecks can be identified and resolved to reduce delays.
Product management is often a major bottleneck. We focus on leveraging AI to enhance this stage by improving prompting capabilities for product managers and backlog contributors. Once this bottleneck is addressed, AI can further optimize additional areas such as DevOps. At the same time, AI-based features can be invented here…
2. Human & Leadership considerations when AI appears:
Our experience with organizations struggling to establish innovation, assimilate new systems, or implement cultural changes highlights a key insight: successful AI adoption requires addressing the human and soft aspects of change.
AI can disrupt roles, alter workflows, and challenge authority, thus creating tension among leaders and professionals alike. To foster an environment where AI can be meaningfully integrated, leaders must proactively address these concerns. AI adoption may generate conflicts, shift power dynamics, and change communication patterns—necessitating thoughtful leadership.
We offer two training course formats for leaders:
- Short Course: Four to five sessions (two hours each)
- Full Course: A series of ten to twelve two-hour sessions, featuring in-depth case studies, hands-on exercises, and peer collaboration.
3. Leading the AI introduction process to the organization using an Agile mindset:
AI adoption often begins as an “innovation initiative.” By the time it is formally introduced, employees have likely already experimented with AI tools, forming opinions and expectations.
AI implementation is an ongoing journey, not a one-time project. Leaders must maintain a dynamic vision, balancing AI’s evolving capabilities with organizational goals and risk management. The challenge lies in enabling rapid adaptation—encouraging learning, experimentation, and innovation while maintaining ethical boundaries.
Agile leadership plays a crucial role in this transformation. By iterating quickly, pivoting as needed, and finding the balance between alignment and creativity, Agile thinking can accelerate AI adoption and maximize its potential.
